Sandra Boehm
May 3, 1957 – October 10, 2025

Sandra (Sandy) Boehm, 68, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Born on May 3, 1957, Sandy lived a life full of love, laughter, and devotion to her family and community. On August 24, 1985, she married her soulmate, Ken Boehm. Together, they recently celebrated a milestone 40 wonderful years of marriage spent creating a beautiful life together.

Sandy was the proud mother of four daughters, who were the center of her world: Cassy Boehm, Katy Boehm, Suzy Boehm and Kim Rose (and son-in-law David Rose). She especially treasured her role as “Busi” to her grandson, Brooks Rose, whose smiles could light up her entire day. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Gracie, as well as countless extended family members and friends whose lives she touched.

In addition to her devotion to her family, Sandy found purpose in serving her community. Since 2013, she was a dedicated member of the Leyden School Board, where she poured her heart into giving back and making a difference in the lives of students and families.

Above all, Sandy’s happiest moments were those spent surrounded by her husband, daughters, and grandson—laughing, sharing stories, and watching her grandson. To many, she was more than just a mother and friend; she was a second mom, a confidante, and a shoulder to lean on. Sandy will be forever remembered for her silly personality, infectious laugh, warm smile, and the “Mommy hugs” that just made everything better.

Sandy leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to her family that will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to love her.

Please join us to celebrate her life at Rago Brothers Funeral Home in Norridge IL on 10/18 from 1-5pm

Sandy leaves an amazing legacy through her service on the Leyden High School Board of Education. Our students lives are better because of her and we thank her family for sharing her time, her leadership, and her laughter with all of us.

Sandy’s quick wit is what I will remember. So sharp and her laugh was contagious. Seeing her love for her family and friends was unmatched. She will be missed but will live on with all the memories we have with her.

My heartfelt condolences go out to Ken, Cassy, Katy, Suzy and Kimmy for this sad loss of Sandy. Our families have been friends for over 20 years and my family and I are grieving with you. Sandy was a wonderful lady, a loving wife and mother, and a woman who was completely dedicated to her family. Beyond that, she was a caring, thoughtful school board member who devoted so much of her time to Leyden High Schools and her community, and a dear, dear friend to so many of us....her smile and laughter and heart lit up every room. May God give her peaceful Eternal Rest. Heaven just got a new and beautiful angel.
