Joyce Marie Petramala (nee DeStefano) 74 of Chicago. Beloved wife of Jack. Devoted mother of Lisa, Jack (Kristy), and Lindsey (Matt). Loving grandmother of Jack, Brynn, and Emmy. She was a loving sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many.
Joyce was married to her loving husband Jack for over 54 years. Joyce was the largest (and loudest) cheerleader for all of her children whether it was at youth sports or talking about her children's successes later in life.
Joyce worked hard and set a wonderful example for her family. She would take care of her children during the day and then sold Tupperware like no other for over 30 years. She was so filled with life (and joy), her name was very appropriate.
Several years ago she was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia and fought this terrible disease as hard as she could. This disease may have robbed her time with her husband, children, grandchildren, extended family, and friends but it does not define the impact she has made on their lives.http://act.alz.org/goto/joycepetramala
We are choosing to celebrate Joyce and how she made everyone's life brighter. Her family has set up a page in her honor in hopes that in some small part we can all play a role in finding a cure for this disease. Donations can be made at the following:We will love you forever, and you will be with us in our heads and our hearts forever.
