Sharon Marie Higgins, age 72, passed away Wednesday, May 6th, 2020, in Elmwood Park, IL. Sharon was born in Jackson, MI, on June 10,1947. She was raised primarily in Park Forest and Homewood, IL. Sharon graduated from Marian Catholic High School in Chicago Heights, IL in 1965. She is preceded in death by her parents John R. Higgins, Sr. and Elizabeth Smith Higgins, and her brother, John R. Higgins, Jr. She is survived by her brother Dennis and sister-in-law Kim Higgins of Flossmoor, IL; sister Peggy Higgins and brother-in-law Richard Pellegrino; sister-in-law Linda and Tom Spoleti; and many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Sharon liked spending time around books, either at the library or at a bookstore, reading, and mapping out her family tree. She also enjoyed exploring the attractions in the Chicago suburbs and discovering new restaurants.
