Age 87. Beloved husband of the late Fran. Loving father of Dr. Sam (Martina) Marzo, Kerrie (Greg) Klitz, Kathy (Anthony) Rago, and Kim (Major Robert) Klein. Dearest grandpa of Cassandra (Sam) Keller, Emily (Kevin) Goergen, Sam (Lucy) Marzo, Sofia DeLuca, Jack (Melissa) Marzo, Natalie Klitz, Mia Rago, Lindsey Klitz, and the late Megan and Grace Klitz. Proud Great-grandfather of Verity and Fiona Keller, Summer and Chase Goergen, and Mason Marzo. Fond brother of the late Mary (Norval) Yancy. Dear brother-in-law of Virginia (Terry) Schutz, and the late Kathleen (the late John) Poerio. Wonderful uncle, cousin, and friend to many.
Sam was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a man of quiet strength and endless love who devoted his life to his faith and family. He proudly served six years in the National Guard. Sam was known throughout his life as someone who could fix just about anything – proving his patience and skill whenever needed for a broken appliance, car repair, or home project. His love of family was only matched by his appreciation of good food – especially when shared with people he loved. The love he showed for his wife and family will be a lasting lesson to guide his children and grandchildren throughout their lives. Sam will be forever missed by all those who came to know and love him.
