Robert J. (Bob) LaCapra, age 75, of Harwood Heights, Illinois, passed away on December 26, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born on March 22, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois.   He met his bride of 56 years, Karen, as kids on Erie Street.  She first saw him sitting on the Pepsi chest in Rose's Sandwich Shop and their story began.  They built a beautiful life together that gave them 3 daughters, 5 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.

Bob worked as a truck driver foreman for 33 years for the City of Chicago until he retired.  He made many life-long friends during his time with the City and cherished those memories.

Bob was a loving husband to his wife Karen (nee LaSalvia), loving Daddy to his daughters Gina (husband Clint), Deana (husband Matthew), and Tracie (husband Michael), and loving Papa to his grandchildren Jessica (husband Tim), Brianna (fiancé Ryan), his best friend Nicholas, Bobby, and Michael, and his great grandson Jaxon.
