Richard Silvio Caravetta, a Veteran of the National Guard,  passed away January 13, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Roseanne. Dear father of Dena (Tony, fiancé) and Angela (Enrique). Proud grandfather of Avian and Sebastian and kitties Max, Sophia and Gracie. Son of the late Silvio and Dorothy Caravetta, proud brother of the Late Larry Caravetta, a Vietnam Veteran. Rick was heavily involved in the community of Cicero where he not only served as Democratic Committeeman and a member of the Police and Fire Commission, he also served on Cicero School District 99's School Board for many years. Rick retired from Cook County after more than 30 years of service first with the Cook County Forest Preserve and then as a Laborer Foreman at 26th and California. Rick was proud of his family, especially his two daughters and his Italian heritage. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
