Nina Kobrinetz passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 4th at the age of 99. Nina was born on January 11, 1922 to Anna and Emil Pilutik in Chicago, IL. She married Alex Kobrinetz in 1948 and together they raised two sons, Anthony and James Kobrinetz. She was a devout Orthodox Christian and spent her life actively participating in both the Russian Independent Mutual Aid Society and St.George Orthodox Cathedral. She was a phenomenal cook, lifelong fan of her beloved Cubbies, and best friend you could ask for. Nina was a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Nina is survived by her sons James Kobrinetz, Tony (Kathy) Kobrinetz, granddaughters Kimberly (Matt) Ryon, Colleen (Chris) Stack, and Carrie (Zach) Malone, and five great-grandchildren: Williiam Ryon, Caroline Ryon, Ella Stack, Clare Stack, and Macie Malone.
