Beloved mother and grandmother, 92, of Logan Square, Chicago, Illinois (born Panuelas, P.R.) passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.  Modesta is survived by her loving son Rodrigo Abreu (wife Violet), and granddaughters Vera and Carla Abreu.

Modesta was a source of strength, wisdom, and unwavering love.  She will forever live in our hearts and we are grateful for the time we had with her.  To honor her wishes, a private cremation took place at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donathions to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in memory of Modesta.
