Of Chicago, formerly of Oak Brook, IL. Beloved husband of Marilynn nee Bolitho. Loving father of Sheryl (John) Amidei, Marcia (Chris) Hazlitt and Daniel (Nancy). Proud grandfather of John, Dan, Lara, Will and Damon. Fond brother of the late Betty Gwinn. George was a graduate of Northwestern University, where he received both his Bachelors degree and a Juris Doctor. He was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy, and enjoyed a long career as an attorney.

He was married to his wife Marilynn for over 57 years. His first love was his family. He inspired us all with his generosity, work ethic, love of music and travel.
