Eric passed peacefully from this life on the morning of July 31st, 2021 after a gradual decline in health. He was surrounded and supported by his loving family during the last days of his life. Eric was born in San German, Puerto Rico, but has been a Chicagoan since 1969 where he built his life and raised his children.

Eric is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Carmen; his four children: Magali (Maggie), Eric Jr. (Papo), Daniel (Cano) and Jannette; seven grandchildren: Andrew, Danny, Matthew, Erika, Karlo, Jailynn and Christian; five great grandchildren: Ethan, Eliah, Elena, Evelyn, Edxael, and his Yorkie Terrier Charlie.

Eric was a hard-working, generous, kindhearted and caring husband and father. He loved collecting memorabilia of his childhood superheroes such as Superman and Batman, watch old western movies, outdoor markets, the Chicago Cubs and ride in his red Jeep.
