In Loving Memory of Elva Iris Ortiz

It is with deep sadness and immense love that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Elva Iris Ortiz, who passed away on August 4, 2026 at the age of 64.

Elva was born on October 1, 1961 in Gary Indiana to Alejandra Ortiz and Inocencio Ortiz. Throughout her life, she was known for her kindness, strength, generosity, and unwavering love for family. More than anything, Elva cherished time spent with loved ones and was a constant source of guidance and encouragement. She celebrated life's milestones, stood beside family through every challenge, and left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her love will continue to live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, family, and friends.

Elva is survived by her husband Micheal Martinez, her sons Victor Antonio Duprey and Miguel Angel Ortiz, her daughters in law Dalila Villarreal and Katherin Duprey, and her grandchildren Laila Madison Ortiz, Khaiel Martinez Duprey, and Kyleah Mila Duprey.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the countless memories we shared, and the legacy of love Elva leaves behind. Her compassion, wisdom, and selfless spirit will never be forgotten.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday August 11, 2026, from 10:00am to 1:30pm at Rago Brothers Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate a life so beautifully lived and so deeply loved.
