Dianne Andrews spent her entire life in the Chicago area. Born and raised in the city, she lived within the North Side until moving to Libertyville later in life to be with her sister. To her niece and nephew, she's remembered as their "hip" aunt who lived in an apartment in the city and worked at See's Candies. Even when only passing through, Dianne always made her way out to O'Hare just to quickly greet them. Although suffering from dementia, even that could not dim her spirit; at assisted living facilities, she was a constant presence at the nurses' station, hanging out as if a welcome member of the staff if not making friends with the other residents. She is survived by her sister, Barbara; her niece, Amye; and nephew, Bart. On Monday, March 20, she will be laid to rest alongside her longtime partner, "Uncle Al" Albert Berry; may they finally rest in peace together.
