Carl
Conti
June 7, 1944 – April 30, 2026
Carl Conti passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026, at the age of 81.
Born on June 7, 1944, and raised in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood, Carl grew up surrounded by family and lifelong friends who shaped him for years to come. He attended DePaul Academy and met his high school sweetheart, Maudie, through neighborhood friends—beginning a love story that would span decades. They married in 1965 and built a life rooted in commitment, resilience, and family.
Carl spent much of his life working in the food manufacturing industry, bringing with him a strong work ethic and a natural ability to lead others. He was a hardworking and generous man—someone others could always count on, who showed his love not in grand gestures, but through a steady presence and quiet acts of care.
Together, Carl and Maudie raised their family first in Hoffman Estates and later in Orland Park. Family was always at the center of Carl’s life, and he took great pride in all they built together.
He had a deep love for Italian food and cooking, and carried a lifelong passion for Lionel trains—a hobby that connected him to his childhood and remained a source of joy throughout his life.
A proud Chicagoan, Carl was a devoted fan of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Blackhawks, rarely missing a chance to follow his teams.
Carl was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maudie, and his parents, Carl and Caroline Conti. He is survived by his children, Carl, Bill (Tracey), and Beth Ann; his grandchildren, Kylie (Michael) Laudizio, Samantha Peloza, Billy (Kelsey), and Anthony; his great-grandchildren, Violet, Teagan, and Olive; and his sister Camille Husby.
He will be remembered for his steady strength, his generosity, and the deep love he had for his family
