Anthony "Tony" Napolitano, 75, of Chicago, peacefully passed after a long battle with cancer. Just like he dealt with all experiences in life, Tony managed his illness with strength and tenacity. He was home, surrounded by family. Tony served his country in the United States Army and served as a Chicago Police Officer for "32 years, 6 months, 1 day"... as he loved to say. He has left and indelible mark on everyone with whom he had the pleasure of crossing paths. As always, Tony's unshakable Faith continued to comfort him during this final stage as he was called Home to the Lord. Tony is survived by, Mary Ann, his loving wife of 39 years (married for 27), his children Andrew, Nina, Ada, and Anthony (Jamie), stepchildren Michele (John), Jackie (Brett) and his most adoring canine and constant companion Rosie Papa Tony will be so very missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Emily, Annette, Mary Ann, Cheryl, Sofia, Fiona, Anthony, Noah, Ethan and Gabriella. Tony was predeceased by his Mother, Father, his brother Tommy, son-in-law Rick, and grandson Johnny. Tony's family takes comfort knowing he was greeted, in Heaven, by loving arms. He will always remain the "best of the best" Husband, Son, Brother, Dad, Papa, Uncle, Godfather and Friend, in the hearts of all who knew him...
