Angela
Rinaldi
June 7, 2025
Angela Rinaldi, a trailblazer and cherished member of the Chicago community, passed away on June 7, 2025, at the age of 95. Born in 1929 in Chicago, to the late Alex and Mary Fosco. Her life was one filled with love, dedication to service, and groundbreaking achievements.
With a charismatic spirit and resolute determination, Angela was a pioneer for women in the workforce. She had the distinction of becoming the first woman Vice-President at LaSalle National Bank, revered for her adeptness in managing relationships with some of the bank's most significant clients, including the Chicago Unions. Angela's career was a source of inspiration to many, reflecting her relentless work ethic and commitment to excellence.
Angela's dedication to her career was matched only by her passion for community service and her deep love for her family. She was a loving sister to Rosemary Chachula, Georgianne DeMory, and preceded in death by Alex Fosco and Ann Taliani. She was greatly loved by her numerous nieces and nephews, who will remember her as a devoted aunt.
Her leadership extended beyond her professional endeavors. Angela was notably the President of the Italian Veterans Association Women's Division and served on the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Club and was an active volunteer at the Jesse Brown Veterans Hospital. Her faith played a central role in her life; she was an integral part of St. Ita's Catholic Church and the Shrine of Our Lady of Pompeii.
She was instrumental in the preservation of the Shrine of Our Lady of Pompeii. Her unwavering acts of generosity and volunteerism to The Shrine underscored her deep sense of civic duty and a profound commitment to heritage and faith.
Her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege to know her, yet her legacy will continue to influence the countless lives she touched. She will be greatly missed.
