Obituary

Ada Lilia Rodriguez

August 12, 1947 – June 4, 2026

With profound sadness and deep love, we announce the passing of Ada Lilia Rodriguez on June 4, 2026, at the age of 78.

Born on August 12, 1947, in Jayuya, Puerto Rico, Ada was the beloved daughter of Francisco De Jesus Guzman and Isabela Rivera Medina. She carried with her the strength, resilience, and determination that would define her throughout her life. She later made her home in the Chicago area, where she built a life centered around hard work, independence, and family.

Ada dedicated many years of service to her employers and colleagues, working as a Supervisor for Fannie May Candies and later as a cashier for Dominick's and Mariano's. She was known for her strong work ethic, reliability, and friendly spirit.

Above all else, Ada was devoted to her family. She enjoyed watching Telemundo, working on projects around her home, and keeping herself busy with the many tasks she took pride in completing. An independent and resourceful woman, Ada was an avid self-starter who rarely sat still and was always looking for ways to improve her home and care for those around her.

Ada is survived by her son, Jose Francisco Rodriguez, and his wife, Cheyanne Rodriguez; her son, Nelson Rodriguez; and her beloved grandchildren, Raymond Jose Rodriguez, Jose Francisco Rodriguez Jr., and Lorenzo Benjamin Rodriguez.

She will be remembered for her strength, perseverance, devotion to family, and the kindness she shared with those around her. Her love, guidance, and example will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
