Bethany Lorraine Brosman earned her wings on June 30, 2022 at the age of 27, after an almost 7 years battle with leukemia. Born on January 6, 1995 to Mike and Lori Brosman in Chicago, IL. She is the oldest of 3 and the glue that held us together.
As a lover of science, Bethany’s goal was to become a medical scientist with hopes of preventing these terrible diseases in the future. During her journey, she successfully completed both an Associates in Science and Art. Though leukemia repeatedly delayed her education she was determined to keep moving forward.
Bethany’s kindness and generosity was the core of her being. Working with her sister, Melissa, they were able to gather over 1,200 gifts for children at Lurie’s Children’s Hospital. She loved animals, sea life, and especially elephants and has been an avid donor to Brookfield Zoo, 4ocean, and Save the Sea Turtles. More recently her focus has moved to St. Jude, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Feed the Children.
After her first concert, Backstreet Boys, at the age of 2, Bethany became a huge music lover. She was always looking for that next up and coming group and frequented concerts at both large and small venues, always with at least one sibling in tow. A great example of this was when she won a trip to see Justin Bieber in concert and brought both siblings along on the adventure.
Left to honor and remember her love and genuine heart are her parents, Mike and Lori Brosman, her precious pup Skittles, siblings Melissa (Robert) Zediker, Phoenix Brosman; cherished grandparents Thomas and Carole Keating; aunts and uncles, Darlene (Brian) McDermott, Diane Keating, Kathleen (Jeffrey) Jarr, Kimberly (David) Ehrhardt, Michael (Cecille) Keating; cousins, Tiffany (Erik) Czerwin, Timothy (Rachel) McDermott, Matthew (Emelina) McDermott, Christopher (Katie) Jarr, Kevin (Andrea) Jarr, Kellie Jarr, James Jarr, Alex (Michelle) Keating, Austin Keating, Riley Keating, Jonathan (Emily) Skehan, Hailey Keating and Ashley Brosman. She was blessed with numerous second cousins who were always in her heart. Bethany was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her first nephew and Godson, Baby Z. She is preceded in death by uncles Mitchell Brosman and Thomas E. Keating as well as precious cousin, Ryan Keating.
