It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that we mourn the passing of Jay L. Jay was also the cherished brother ever to his sister Kris (Jeff), special uncle to his niece, and nephew. Brother-in-law to Louise(the late, Bob), Kathy(the late, Tom),the late Matt (Renee) Ricky(Judy), Patricia(Greg), as well as uncle to amazing multiple nieces and nephews. Jay is proceeded in death by his parents, Elsie and James, as well as in-laws Marilyn and Matt.

Jay and Linda grew up in the Chicagoland area.  His calling in life was in public service as a firefighter, and he proudly served for both the U.S. Air Force and the Chicago Fire Department.

After retirement, Jay continued his passion of helping people through volunteering at Sheppard AFB and Wichita Falls Fire and Police Museum. He was an active member of Our Lady of Skies Church, American Legion Post 169, and several motorcycle clubs.

Jay also was an avid sports fan, supporting all Chicago sports teams; especially Chicago Cubs, which held a special a place in his heart.

Jay will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to have known him. His  love and dedication to helping others in whatever way possible, his gentle and kind demeanor, and quick witted cheerful humor were his trademarks.
