Helen June Strzala, 95, of Chicago, passed away peacefully at home on August 22, 2023. She was born in Bellwood, Illinois on June 1,1928 to the late Yngve and Charlotte Hayley. She was preceded in death by her husband George Strzala, as well as her 6 siblings Lewis (Grace) Hayley, Jennie (Al) Follo, Elizabeth (Noah) Rice, Clayton (Marilyn) Hayley, Ralph (Ruth) Hayley, and Morton Hayley.
She is survived by her two children, Paul Strzala and Carol (Douglas) Brammer; her sister-in-law Annette Hayley; her six grandchildren, Leah (Andrew) Salermsak, Micah (Jake) Stemo, Jordan Strzala, Madelyn, Amy, and Rebecca Brammer; her five great-grandchildren Achaia, Malachi, and Jedidiah Stemo, & Liam and Parker Salermsak. She will be truly missed by many nieces, nephews,cousins, friends, and all who were blessed to have known her. She is finally resting easy in Jesus' arms.
The family would like to thank her wonderful caregiver Amy and the hospice personnel for their compassionate care and support. They also thank those of you who have uplifted Helen and her family in your prayers during this difficult time. Our hearts are heavy, but we rejoice in the hope of Heaven.
