Fotis Sarantopoulos. Beloved husband of Evangelia (nee Dervengis). Loving father of Peter (Carla) Sarantopoulos, Loukia (James) Rodriguez, and Georgia Sarantopoulos. Cherished Papou of Frank, Sandy, Peter, Andrew, Samantha, and Evangelia. Dearest great-grandpa of Jose, Ana, and Destiney. Dear brother of Adonia (the late Spiro) Tsagoiropoulos, Xanthe (the late Christo) Kalagis, and the late Vasili (the late Vasilo) Sarantopoulos. Theo to Nick and Peter Kalagis, Xanthe and Peter Sarantopoulos, and Vasiliki and Georgia. Fotis was a shoemaker in Greece, many dear years as Chef at Edelweiss German Restaurant and in his free time loved soccer, bike riding and being an entrepreneur at the flea market. Fotis will be remembered as a hard working man with the kindest soul and wonderful sense of humor, his devotion to his Greek Orthodox faith, and his eternal love for his family and friends. Vistitation will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2023 from 3-9pm with a Chapel Prayer Service at 5pm at Rago Brothers Funeral Home, 7751 W Irving Park Road, Chicago, IL 60634. Funeral Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at St Andrews Greek Orthodox Church, 5649 N Sheridan Road, Chicago, IL. Family and Friends are asked to meet directly at church for the 11:00am Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at Ridgewood Cemetery.
