Passed away Friday, November 8, 2013. Beloved partner of Sally Carter. Brother of Ken, Anita, Lynne, and Jeanette. Brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to so many. Don’s legacy is not a simple one. As longtime tavern owner of “DDT’s” (formerly of Chicago and River Grove, IL) Don provided the following services to his patrons: Ambassador, Event Planner, Financial Adviser, Humorist, Loan Officer, Psychologist, Marriage Counselor, Matchmaker, Medic, Mediator, News Reporter, Politician, Sheriff, and Therapist. However, Don will be best remembered for his quick and easy humor, his “every-man’s” philosophy, and even more for his special laughter, which for those who knew him, is unforgettable.
