Arnold "Bud" Wendel

Bud, beloved husband of Marilyn (nee Edwards) was a man whose life revolved around his family and his true love of 46 years. As a resident of Norridge for 43 years, Bud became dad to many that needed a strong male role model, dinner, a roof over their head and some talk therapy. Bud was the shoulder to lean on; the friend to cry to and the dad on the sidelines cheering you on. Loving father of Melissa (Justin) Muro, Bradley (Erin), Christopher, Jeremy (Jessica), Jessica (Matthew) Fromm and Alex. Proud grandpa of Triston, Joshua, Ava, Christian, Dylan, Porter, Gunnar, Ivy, Guinevere, Gemma, Jack, Kelton, and Kelsie. Dear brother of Kathy and Fred (Lupe). Fond uncle to 11 nieces and nephews.

Donations are being accepted in honor of Bud Wendel for the unbelievable staff at Rainbow Hospice and Palliative Care-Foundation that took wonderful care of him in the last stages of his life.

To the Wendel Family, Your daddy fought very long and hard for you all and I know he is so proud of you all for all you have done for him and for yourselves and have accomplished in your lives. I will miss him so very much and am honored to have grew up next to such a great family and had a 2nd family and know Bud. I am so grateful for all of the memories and most recently with him. Mar and family, you all know how sorry I am to be writing this! He meant the world to me at 14 and our whole lives. He was a most special man we all will miss! I’m so sorry for your loss. I won’t be back in time to say goodbye, but he’ll be in all our hearts forever. My love and prayers to you and the family.

Melissa & family, I'm so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of hanging out with Bud a number of times & he was definitely one of the good guys, actually reminded me a lot of my dad. My thoughts & prayers are with you all.

I want to reach out to the Wendel family on the loss of your husband, father, grandfather,brother and uncle. Buddy was one of the good guys for sure. He will truly be missed. I am so grateful to have reconnected with him these past few years. His friendship was a gift.I especially miss playing words with Friends with him when though he always beat me!

Dear Wendell Family, I picked up the phone yesterday five times to send you a message and couldn't find the words. Words cannot express the sadness you all are going through.
