Angel L. Tosado passed away peacefully on Sunday February 11th, surrounded by those who loved him most.

He was born in the town of Santurce, located in San Juan, Puerto Rico on December 16th, 1942 to parents Jose Tosado and Virginia Tosado Mendez.

Angel and his family migrated from Puerto Rico to the Chicago neighborhood of Lincoln Park in the 1950’s where he grew up with his 4 siblings and parents. In his early years Angel entered the world of boxing where he shined as he was able to gain many accolades from the sport; it would help shape who he was as a person for the rest of his life.

A true businessman by trade, he immersed himself into working at a young age and self-taught himself the art of automotive mechanics and bodywork. This would lead him to own many successful auto collision centers and become very well known in the Latin American community of Chicago until the day of his passing.

Angel loved music, especially oldies and salsa like Ismael Rivera and Pete el Conde, he loved the Chicago white sox, old western movies and loved watching boxing tournaments. He had a witty sense of humor and guaranteed anyone around him a good time and lots of laughter. He was a friend to many and a helping hand to anyone who would cross his path in both his personal and business life.

Angel is survived by his Children Angelo (Valerie), Lisette, and Melissa. His grandchildren Angel Jr., Stephanie, Alina, Brandon (Sarah), Adan, and Samantha, as well as his great grandchildren Amelia and Amaya. He has preceded in death by his parents Jose and Virginia Tosado, his brother Joseph Tosado, and his sisters Gladys & Nina Tosado. He was also a loving cousin and Uncle to many as he comes from a large Puerto Rican family.

Above all and most importantly, he loved his family until his last breath. He will truly be missed by those who knew and loved him until the end.
